Hi!
Nice to meet you!
My name is Isabelle Maddex, and I am so excited to meet you! I am a recent graduate of Colorado State University (woohoo!) and am ready to begin my professional career in marketing. Over the years, I have found a real passion for graphic design, art, and the power of honest, authentic marketing that truly connects with people.
I want to make a difference, and I want to do it genuinely. Whether through compelling visuals or thoughtful strategy, I’m always looking for creative ways to bring big ideas into focus. Welcome to my world!

I grew up in a small town about 45 minutes outside of Chicago, but for a long time, I felt out of place there. Surrounded by what felt like fixed mindsets and quiet routines, I craved something bigger and bolder. As soon as high school ended, I wanted to go as far as I reasonably could, and I fell head over heels for the energy and landscape of Colorado.
Moving to Colorado State University gave me everything I needed. For four years, I felt confident, energized, and deeply in my element. Majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing gave my creative instincts a clear foundation, and I poured myself into my classes, internships, and community. But toward the end of my senior year, after applying to dozens of jobs and trying to force my next step, I hit a creative wall. For the first time in a long time, my momentum stalled, and I knew I needed to pause and recalibrate.
Looking back, that pause was the best thing that could have happened to me.
Instead of rushing into the wrong fit, I made the intentional choice to move back home with a clear plan to reset. I needed space to slow down, write, create, and rewrite my narrative around the place I grew up. Reconnecting with my hometown allowed me to truly look at where I come from: a family of entrepreneurs and storytellers. Seeing my dad build a radio presence, my mom run her own private practice, my cousin produce music, and my aunt channel a background in photography into coaching reminded me that creativity, independence, and resilience run in my blood.
Taking the time to travel, step back, and balance a familiar local job while working a remote marketing role gave me my voice back.
That journey directly shapes the marketer I am today. It taught me that authentic marketing requires patience, grounded self-awareness, and the ability to look beneath the surface of a story. I don’t just create to fill a feed or hit an arbitrary metric; I create to build work that is honest, human, and rooted in substance. I enter this next chapter with a clear head, a grounded perspective, and a creative drive that feels entirely my own.
Where it all began
